RIKA Climate UV-C Ceiling Ventilation combines controlled ventilation with UV-C treatment of the incoming air, adding an extra layer of infection control to the pig house.
Fresh outside air is drawn through specially designed UV-C air supply units before entering the attic and being distributed through ceiling inlets. The system is designed to achieve >95% inactivation of the most common viruses and bacteria.
Inside each UV-C air supply unit, light sources are positioned in a precisely calculated pattern and combined with high-reflectivity inserts. This ensures that the incoming air receives the required UV-C intensity before entering the pig house.
The solution can be pressure- or temperature-controlled and is designed for easy retrofitting and compatibility with existing ventilation solutions.
The RIKA Climate 108 climate computer controls the ventilation according to indoor and outdoor temperature, ventilation curves and animal age. Optional humidity, CO₂ and pressure monitoring provide additional climate data.
The system includes alarm functions for power failure and incorrect temperatures, while each individual UV-C light source is monitored by the alarm system.
