RIKA Climate UV-C Equal Pressure Chimney Ventilation combines equal-pressure ventilation with UV-C treatment of incoming fresh air.
Outside air is treated with UV-C before entering the pig house and distributed through patented air distributors with fans. The system is designed to achieve >95% inactivation of the most common viruses and bacteria.
Fresh air enters through chimneys fitted with high-reflectivity inserts, where UV-C light sources ensure that the incoming air receives the required UV-C intensity before being distributed into the pig house.
Powered air distributors support controlled distribution of the UV-C-treated fresh air. The solution is suitable for older buildings and can be controlled through the existing climate control system or by separate pressure control.
The RIKA Climate 108 climate computer controls ventilation according to indoor and outdoor temperature, ventilation curves and animal age. Optional humidity, CO₂ and pressure monitoring provide additional climate data.
The system also includes alarms for power failure and incorrect temperatures, while each individual UV-C light source is monitored by the alarm system.
