RIKA Climate UV-C Wall Ventilation combines negative-pressure wall ventilation with UV-C treatment of the incoming fresh air.
Outside air enters through wall inlets fitted with specially designed air ducts, where UV-C light treats the air before it enters the pig house. The system is designed to achieve >95% inactivation of the most common viruses and bacteria.
The UV-C light source is positioned behind a specially designed air duct, ensuring that incoming air receives the required UV-C intensity before entering the pig house.
The solution is designed for easy retrofitting into existing buildings and is compatible with existing ventilation solutions. The design also provides easy access when UV-C light sources need to be replaced.
The RIKA Climate 108 climate computer controls ventilation according to indoor and outdoor temperature, ventilation curves and animal age. Optional humidity and CO₂ monitoring provide additional climate data.
The system also includes alarms for power failure and incorrect temperatures, while each individual UV-C light source is monitored by the alarm system.
