RIKA Climate Intelligent Heating Control is an automated heating system designed to optimise the microclimate for piglets.
An infrared sensor measures the pigs’ surface temperature under the canopy, allowing the output of the heat lamps to be continuously adjusted according to their actual need for heat. This helps maintain the optimum temperature while avoiding unnecessary energy consumption.
Instead of operating the heat lamps at a fixed output, Intelligent Heating Control continuously responds to the temperature of the pigs.
When the piglets are resting and their temperature is below the setpoint, heating is activated. If the temperature rises above the setpoint, the heat output is reduced. Automatic temperature monitoring operates 24/7, providing continuous control of the microclimate.
Intelligent Heating Control can be integrated with the RIKA Climate 108 climate computer and VE-BUS communication or operated as a stand-alone solution.
The system can control RIKA Classic heat lamps, while the RIKA Infra heat lamp provides an alternative stand-alone solution with an integrated IR sensor and NFC app control.
