RIKA Climate Ceiling Ventilation is a negative-pressure ventilation system for efficient and controlled air exchange in pig houses. Fresh air enters through ceiling inlets, while exhaust air is removed through roof-mounted chimney fans.
The system can be adapted to different types of pig houses and is particularly suited to warmer climate zones.
Ventilation requirements change with outside temperature and the age of the pigs. At lower temperatures, incoming air is mixed before reaching the pigs’ resting area, while low-velocity air supply through the eaves helps minimise unintended heating.
Automatically controlled ceiling inlets regulate the fresh air supply, while high-efficiency roof fans maintain the negative pressure required for controlled air exchange.
The RIKA Climate 108 climate computer adjusts ventilation according to indoor and outdoor temperature, ventilation curves and animal age. Optional humidity and CO₂ monitoring provide additional climate data.
The system also includes alarms for power failure and incorrect temperatures, with battery backup for temperature-controlled emergency opening.
