Flexible ventilation for cold and hot periods

RIKA Climate Combined Wall Tunnel Ventilation is a negative-pressure ventilation system that combines wall ventilation with tunnel ventilation.

During colder periods, fresh air is supplied through wall inlets positioned along the sides of the pig house. During hot periods, the system switches to tunnel ventilation, creating increased air movement through the building.

Effective airflow when temperatures rise

When cooling demand increases, tunnel inlets at the end of the building work together with powerful wall-mounted fans to create a high air velocity through the pig house. This provides a chilling effect and helps reduce the temperature experienced by the pigs.

For additional cooling during hot periods, the system can be combined with optional cooling pads or high-pressure cooling. At minimum ventilation, the wall inlet system supports controlled air distribution throughout the building.

Intelligent climate control

The RIKA Climate 108 climate computer adjusts ventilation according to indoor and outdoor temperature, ventilation curves and animal age. Automatic summer and winter modes support the transition between changing ventilation requirements.

Optional humidity and CO₂ monitoring provide additional climate data. The system also includes alarms for power failure and incorrect temperatures, with battery backup for temperature-controlled emergency opening.
