RIKA Climate Equal Pressure Chimney Ventilation is designed for pig houses where fresh air can only be supplied through the roof.
Fresh air is supplied through roof-mounted air distributors with fans, while exhaust air is extracted through roof chimneys. This creates neutral pressure inside the building and enables precise control of the balance between incoming and outgoing air.
The combination of powered air distributors and chimney exhaust makes it possible to actively manage both air intake and extraction.
This provides good distribution of fresh air throughout the pig house and makes Equal Pressure Chimney Ventilation particularly relevant where the building design limits other air inlet solutions – including older pig houses.
The RIKA Climate 108 climate computer adjusts ventilation according to indoor and outdoor temperature, ventilation curves and animal age. Optional humidity, CO₂ and pressure monitoring provide additional climate data.
The system also includes alarms for power failure and incorrect temperatures, with battery backup for temperature-controlled emergency opening.
