RIKA Climate Low Pressure Chimney Ventilation is a negative-pressure ventilation system that supplies fresh air through roof-mounted air distributors and extracts exhaust air through roof chimneys.
A slight negative pressure draws fresh air into the pig house through controlled air inlets without the use of inlet fans, providing an energy-optimised alternative to Equal Pressure Chimney Ventilation.
Fresh air enters through RIKA Climate’s patented air distributors, designed to mix warm and cold air and distribute fresh air evenly throughout the pig house – even during the coldest periods.
The system requires a well-sealed building to maintain the negative pressure needed for controlled air intake and distribution.
The RIKA Climate 108 climate computer adjusts ventilation according to indoor and outdoor temperature, ventilation curves and animal age. Optional humidity and CO₂ monitoring provide additional climate data.
The system also includes alarms for power failure and incorrect temperatures, with battery backup for temperature-controlled emergency opening.
