RIKA Climate Tunnel Ventilation is a negative-pressure ventilation system designed to create high air exchange and an effective chilling effect during hot periods.
Fresh air enters through wall inlets positioned at one end of the pig house, while powerful wall-mounted fans draw the air through the building, creating high air velocity around the pigs.
The high air velocity helps reduce the temperature experienced by the pigs while the high air exchange supports good air quality.
For additional cooling, Tunnel Ventilation can be combined with optional cooling pads or high-pressure cooling. These systems reduce the temperature of the incoming air before it moves through the pig house, providing additional cooling during hot periods.
The RIKA Climate 108 climate computer adjusts ventilation according to indoor and outdoor temperature, ventilation curves and animal age. Optional humidity and CO₂ monitoring provide additional climate data.
The system also includes alarms for power failure and incorrect temperatures, with battery backup for temperature-controlled emergency opening.
